Poor program, poor customer service, poor communication skills! USELESS

May 2022 I registered for HAF, and the caseworker has only called me once. He will not reply to my emails, phone calls etc. I've submitted tons of supporting documents as requested and have asked that an escalated supervisor call me. No one from HUD has called me to date! They are holding up the DEO, This program and those running it is USELESS!

User's recommendation: Contact your Governor.

Department of Housing Urban Development - DO NOT purchase a 30 year mortgage on manufactured homes!
Our mortgage was not only initiated 3-4 days before we even met the builder, but we received a generic manufactured home, instead of a modular. There was no appraisal, well yes, it was done, by the builder. No inspection either. The house was set too low to the ground, no vapor barrier, no ventilation, 4' x 4' panels cut into floors for access. We are seniors, 12 years into a 30-year mortgage, still owing almost $200,000.00. Since the house was not set correctly and no ventilation under the house, the floors have holes, the ceiling has 2 huge cracks, the back wall is leaning backward. The cabinets, tiles, lights, everything is coming off. For over 11 years, I have complained to no avail. The house will not stand another year, let alone another 18 years. RESPA says it was the responsibility of the lender, Wells Fargo, and the appraiser, who happened to fill out paperwork in accordance with the builder. No one is excepting responsibility! We can't sell. The loan is under from the fraudulent appraisal We would have to bring the house up to code. Crest homes are the ones who made our "special house". Crest only acknowledges the houses for 10 years. The people working for HUD in my area of Wisconsin are not responding, not have they been.

Housing policies for Sec 8

I understand the need to keep a tight budget, but the govt policy of 2 people per bedroom, no exceptions, is ridiculous. Not all double occupancy tenants should share a bedroom, but HUD insists that the living room can be used for a second bedroom. What good does that do? The person in the living room still has no privacy, no space for a dresser or closet for clothes, and their sleep is often disrupted by the other tenant, or visitors. I was raised that your kitchen/dining area is for food prep and storage, a table to eat at, etc. A living room is for social interaction and entertainment. The bedrooms are for sleeping, dressing, storing clothes and other personal items. But with the present policy, I will be forced to cook, eat, sleep AND entertain in "my bedroom." My bed will double as a couch, a bed, AND a dining table. I will have no privacy. If my adult daughter takes the living room, she would face the same problems, and my insomnia would disrupt her sleep. She needs to find work and have some kind of structured living arrangement. The 1-bdrm units are barely big enough for ONE person to live in. They are more like "flop houses".... fine if all you use the unit for is sleeping and showers. But two people can't LIVE in a 500 sq ft apt. The units that are adequate size are in neighborhoods not safe for people who drive & have cars, much less those who have to walk everywhere. In Tucson, city lights are dim, pinkish, and far between, because of the airport and AFB, making walking to & from work an unsafe proposition. When I rented my present apt, the policy said that two adults (not a couple,) could have a two bedroom. Then they changed it to 1 per two people, regardless. As long as we stay here, we can keep the 2-bdrms, but my landlord is getting lax on property upkeep and wants out of the Sec 8 program. I need to move, but can't find anything suitable AND within Sec 8 limits. For just $20.00 more per month (even if I had to pay it myself,) I could get a decent rental in a safer, well lighted neighborhood with job prospects all around for my daughter. But HUD won't allow me to make up that extra cost.

Neighbor with dogs

My hud subsidized renter next door consistently houses VICIOUS dogs. I have numberous complaints filed with my local city police. Called several times about neighbor aggressive dogs. Wouldn;'t do anything. One of their doges killed my chickens last year. Loss of business retribution for value or lost income not even a police cite for trespassing. Another day came home to find my mother trapped in her car with three cujos jumping up and down trying to get to her. Finally got them to cite the neighbors for there dogs. Now, they killed my bunnies. Yep no easter bunnies this year. I had consistent buyer with a local farm and ranch company. Every year I made $1000 more than the year before. The last year before the neighbors and thier dogs was $4000. Not a lot of money but it paid my home ins and taxes. Both incomes gone. No way I can rebuild before dogs are back here killing. Not even worth trying if cops aint going to do anything anyway. Gonna have to find another way to pay my taxes and insurance, huh, aint no subsidy for me nor do I want one. Cops cited them but that don;t even compare to the amount of money I have lost. Cops said killl the dogs next time they come over. I will but really, is that how our country works. They have everybody in the neighborhood scared to come out. The old people wont call the cops because they are just scared of what these thugs will do. Now they have two couples that have moved in with the old man you all setup for free. With them and I think now they have 4 dogs. I have worked and payed to get what I have and you all give someone that hasn't earned anything a free rent in a nieghborhood they don't belong. That is why they don't care whose stuff they tear up or how much money they cost other people or even bring down our property values. Theyt are getting it for free. We had a nice neighborhoods until the subsidized renters moved in. I want HUD shut down or defunded. HUD did this. HUD Derilicks 1280 mansfield Reno Tx 75462

Bait and Switch from HUD Homes to Homeandhousesearch.com

I thought I was speaking to someone from HUD, who was looking for an agent in my county to handle leads looking for a home. Turns out I was speaking to a Liz from this site I've never heard of, and the cost was going to be $195/month for leads. I am sitting here dumbfounded at how many people are out there trying to separate realtors from their money. I've bought a HUD foreclosure, so I was willing to help HUD for free. I am not willing or able to pay some unknown company who just set up shop 6 months ago, and has no track record, $195/month for leads. I can do the same thing with Zillow, which has more experience, but I really haven't heard much good about my chances with any of the online advertising services. This, though, is an instance of Bait and Switch. Not Cool!
